TEACHING EXPERIENCE

You can rest assured that my teaching products are classroom-proven and designed to achieve high levels of success with ALL learners.

I'm proud to say I had an AMAZING 34-year career (now retired) teaching mostly 4th grade and middle school math in Oregon's public schools. I had large class sizes of 30+ students so using independent projects and activities was a lifesaver and gave students the opportunity to shine.

I also taught blend classes and 1st, 5th, 6th, high school at-risk computers, and served as our district's K-12 Academic Achievement Specialist.

MY TEACHING STYLE

♥ Project based learning gets students excited and actively engaged in their own learning.
♥ If you integrate real-life context with learning, students never have to ask, "When are we ever going to use this?" because they will KNOW.
♥ Teach each child as if s/he is gifted and talented. Students rise to our expectations. Encourage them to soar!
♥ High Expectations + High Standards = High Achievement
