TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a science teacher in an urban School District for 10 years. During this time I have had the opportunity to experience teaching within classrooms at all levels of performance abilities, including full inclusion, and highly advanced classes.

I have taught middle school science (both the 7th and 8th grade) and at the high school level (9th to 12th grade science) including Anatomy, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Physical Science
I have a PA Professional Certification in the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Environmental Education, General Science, and Health Education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I really do mix it up.

I try to create as many different types of lessons as I can because I know that when I was younger I learned differently from most other people. I love to use short videos showing scientific processes, create PowerPoint presentations, lab experiments, have students role play and present projects, play science songs; oh yes, I also lecture sometimes as well.
