Chocolate Chip Cookie Craze -A multiplying fractions by whole numbers activity
Students are multiplying fractions by 3 and 6 to make a larger recipe of chocolate chip cookies. The goal is to make enough cookies for 87 students (can be changed to fit your needs) to have one cookie and then challenged to make enough for all students to have two cookies using the same chocolate chip cookie recipe.
This activity could be done independently, in math centers/stations, or in partners or small groups.
