Estimating Products Using Rounding Common Core Worksheet
On this worksheet students round two and three digit numbers and then multiply them by one digit numbers in order to estimate the product. I had them round to the left most digit. After, we discussed if our estimate is higher or lower than what the product of the original problem would be. Third Grade Math SOL Word Problem Review
This is a 14 question math test in word problem format. The topics are: Time, Elapsed Time, Calendar Facts, Temperature, Probability, Graphs, Patterns, Number Properties, Place Value, Rounding, Comparing Whole Numbers. One of the questions is open-ended and asks the student to create a line plot for the given data. It is modeled after the Virginia Third Grade Standards of Learning for 2009. This is the most current set of standards that is used in Virginia.
