In a unit studying ancient Mesopotamia, the concept of natural vs. capital vs. human resources proved difficult for my students to differentiate. Using the tale of "The Three Little Pigs" student calls upon their previous knowledge to help fill in a chart based on the story. To conclude the lesson, there is a sorting SMART Board activity on the last slide.

A hands on learning experience replicating the paleolithic cave paintings found in Lascaux, France. First, we read the article https://www.ancient.eu/Lascaux_Cave/ to learn all about it. Then, look at pictures, examples, and descriptions on the SMART presentation. Lastly, the students create their own art (laying on the floor under their desks in a dark room). The students LOVE this activity. There's no better way to learn than to experience it!!
