Introducing the differences between predictions and inferences can be tricky! For this Prezi, students can talk as a class about the differences between the two. For each picture, consider prompting your students with "what do you think will happen" (prediction) and following up that question by asking "and why" (inference).

A Summer's Trade KID FRIENDLY Reading Street Test
Made from the Scott Foresman Reading Street 5th grade Volume 1 text, here is a kid friendly test for the Unit 2: Doing the Right Thing fiction story, A Summer's Trade. This test has language and content more appropriate for 5th graders than the Reading Street Assessments.
