When introducing new sensory tools to the classroom, it is helpful to explicitly teach the difference between a tool and a toy. These visual sorts will allow students to use pictures to sort common items into Tools (for classroom) or Toys. One page features items which may be either depending on how it is used. There are two additional pages that include common sensory 'tools' which can be introduced to a classroom.

You can use these as traditional mazes or add a little flare. To do that, you put the paper on a clipboard, put a paper clip on the side with the maze, and hold a magnet on the back of the clipboard. You move the magnet trying to maneuver the paper clip through the maze.
