The first slide of the senteo test is a poem called "Playing Toss" from superteacherworksheet.com The test questions are comprehension of poetry questions based on the standards of learning for VA third graders. This senteo test can be used with the senteo student response system or could be done on the smart board with the group using paper/pencil, white boards, etc. It practices word analysis skills such as vowel sounds, rhymes, syllables, prefix/suffix, and ABC order. This is a smart board file with the links for both activities shown in the preview. They are separate activities, but from the same story. I made this for 2nd, and I find that they are more successful this early on in the year only having one story to read, but different sets of questions to go with the story. I did not write the story, I found it online, but I created the assessments. You could use this for an easy 3rd grade review, or for lower leveled students.
