Monster Short Story Unit
Everyone do 'The Monster Mash!' What elementary student doesn't like monsters? Motivating students to write is often difficult, so making the writing process fun is absolutely necessary. This writing unit goes through the entire process of writing a short story about a student created monster.
This unit includes the following elements:
-A review of several of the 6 + 1 Traits of Writing
-An organization rubric so students will know what the daily expectations are
