Preview of Atom, Ion, & Isotopes Task Cards

Atom, Ion, & Isotopes Task Cards

This card sort provides students with a chart that has various categories filled in. These categories are: the number of protons, neutrons, mass, electrons, charge, and if the element turns out to be an ion or isotope. The student will then need to use their knowledge of atomic structure to figure out what the element is, and any missing parts to the chart. There are 4 different cards included in this card sort. Pieces and the Keys to all four cards are included as well.

Chemical Inventory - Editable

This is a chemical inventory sheet modeled after one made by the New York City Department of Education. I took their PDF version and converted it into an editable Excel document. I think my hard work should not go to waste, so I'm making it available to all of you. **Notes** - I removed the "MSDS on File" column because I fully intend to make a binder of ALL the MSDS sheets for the chemicals in my lab. So this column would be redundant. (MSDS - Material Safety Data Sheet) - The Inorganic/Organ

Superior Periodic Table with Ion Chart, Solubility Chart

This periodic table has all the information I could think of at once, including diatomic elements. The color coding shows non-metals, gases, solids, liquids, metalloids, metals, chemical families. I print the periodic table in color and then print the ion chart on the back with a copier or laser printer. Make sure that your copy of Excel has printed the + and - signs correctly in front of the numbers at the top of the columns. Give them out in sheet protectors and they tend to last the whole sch

This is an assignment for students to create a nutrition table for blueberries. The subject area is NUTRITION, which is not on the TpT list of subject areas (shame on you, TpT). This is a downloadable, color-coded, Excel, nutrition-label file that allows your students to create nutrition tables, especially for fruits and vegetables. Please observe that such tables do not exist in a typical, supermarket, produce section. Ask your local supermarket to do so. IMPORTANT: Once you download t

This is a guide that helps teachers who are new to teaching chemistry or just want to change up the order in which they teach their units. This pacing guide closely follows Georgia Standards of Excellence chemistry standards. However most states teach each one of these concepts in some way. I hope this helps check one thing off of your incredibly long teacher to do list.

I got good participation with this in class. I think all the mistakes have been fixed, but you might have your best/picky kids go over it. There are 3 quiz versions. All the answers can be done without a calculator.NOTE: I didn't include answers that involve running through 2 calculations.Ex: pH = 2 can match with pOH = 12 or [H+] = 1E-2, but not with [OH-] = 1E-12.
