1st Grade Project Based Learning-Measuring and Building Boats Nonstandard Units
This packet includes 9 activites for student to practice measuring boats. They will measure a variety of boats and will also compare boat lenghs. It is set up for students to measure with nonstandard units but they can use a ruler to measure as enrichment. Students will order three objects by length; compare the lengths of two objects indirectly by using a third object.
At the end of the unit students will make their own boats using whatever you have available. I recommend using foam noodle
