Description

This is the perfect project for your students to correctly write a biographical research essay. This resource can not only be used in February (during Black History month) but any time of the year.
Students will love researching an important historical figure and showing the class what they have learned.

Students can use the fact cards to learn about some of the most important African Americans in history to help them decide who they would like to research. Or, you could cut the cards out and
have students draw so that each person researches a different person.

Students can gather information from multiple sources by placing the information they have learned into the provided graphic organizers by research source. There is even a bibliography page that shows students how to cite their research sources.

When students have finished writing their papers, they can use the timeline to display and create their own scrapbook pages with pictures they’ve drawn or printed out. You could even make your own class book!
