    Description

Looking for an experiential approach to career exploration projects for your high school students?

This comprehensive career exploration activities bundle steers learners away from hypothetical scenarios or simulated experiences and instead offers your students a real-world advantage.

    THE TRANSFORMATION:

Designed to equip students with practical skills, forge meaningful connections, and empower them to set and achieve future goals, this bundle is the ultimate tool for guiding students toward success in their endeavors beyond high school.

This bundle provides a solid foundation for students to navigate the complexities of the modern workforce with confidence and clarity.

Give your students the edge they need to thrive in their future careers with this dynamic bundle of career exploration projects.

    HOW TO USE THIS BUNDLE:

    • Class Type: I use the career exploration resources in this bundle in my senior seminar, advisory, and career exploration class, as well as with upper high school students doing independent studies. These are a few options to name a few.
    • Implementation Process: The resources in this bundle do not need to be used in any particular order, nor do they ALL have to be used. Pick and choose the career exploration experiences that work well for you and your students.
    • Timeframe: Each of the career exploration experiences in this bundle takes time. They were designed this way for tangible and applicable outcomes. Expect each experience to take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks (depending on the experience).
    • Resource Options: All resources included in this bundle have a printable and digital option (Google Apps).

    BUNDLE CONTENTS:

    1. Career Exploration Projects

(Interest-based career exploration PBL, future careers in demand PBL, and career community action project)

    Each Resource Includes:

    A Teacher Guide

    A Student Guide/Workbook

    • Brainstorming activity ideas
    • Project planners and checklists
    • Project proposals
    • Project reflections
    • Project rubrics

    2. Entrepreneurship/Start a Business:

    This resource includes:

    A Teacher Guide

    A Student guide

    • Business portfolio checklist
    • High school businesses brainstorming tools
    • Guiding materials for market research
    • Business proposal template
    • Business operations spreadsheet template
    • Business plan checklist, outline, and workbook
    • Guiding materials for building business websites
    • Business plan rubric
    • Business portfolio (overall project) rubric

    3. Career Portfolio Template:

The career portfolio is an editable Google Slides template where students can add work samples, resumes, cover letters, volunteer experiences, and more as they relate to career experience. I like to have my students add experiences from the other career exploration activities included in this bundle to those career portfolios.

    4. Start a Club Bonus Resource:

This bundle includes a bonus career exploration project that asks students to start a club of interest. This is a great opportunity to build a variety of skills including leadership and planning skills. This experience is also a fantastic resume-builder, which can be added to the career portfolio.
