What educators are saying

I was looking for something other than your typical book report project and found this! This turned out so cute! My kids had so much fun with it.
I am using this with a student who is very resistant to reading and writing. They enjoy the small "bite-sized" writing prompts that will hopefully build confidence to bigger projects.

Description

This creative book project will spice up your plain, old book reports! This is a book report that is FUN, creative, hands-on, and interactive. It is perfect for a character study as it promotes creative and in-depth thinking.

Students pick a favorite character and create the foldable to resemble the character. They then complete multiple fun elements that help them really dive in for a fun character study. This project really challenges students to think creatively, and even invites them to step into their character's shoes! This also makes a great in-class project for the end of the year.

All directions and templates are included!

Here are the elements of the foldable:

Name tag

Book Cover: redesign the book's cover

Instagram: imagine what the character might take a picture of

iPod: brainstorm songs the character would have on their iPod

Interview: answer interview questions as the character

Adjectives: describe the character in 8 words

Speech Bubble: choose a significant quote from the character
