Description

Practicing customary measurement conversions will be fun with this set of 4 cut and paste math worksheets. These converting measurements activities are perfect for whole class practice, math centers or math small group activities!

This resource includes:

  • 4 different matching cut and paste activity sheets
  • Each sheet has 12 different problems for students to solve (and 12 matching answers)
  • answer keys for each page
  • teacher directions and information

The difficulty level increases as students work through the four different activities:

  • sheet #1- Measurement conversion of customary units of length (inch, foot, yard, mile)
  • sheet #2- Measurement conversion of customary units of capacity (fluid ounce, cup, pint, quart, gallon)
  • sheet #3- Measurement conversion of customary units of mass (ounce, pound, ton)
  • sheet #4- Mixture of customary measurement conversions (length, capacity and mass)

This resource provides a great way for students to get valuable practice with converting customary units and allows them to self correct when they make mistakes. If they solve a problem, and the solution isn't in the answer list, they can go back to the problem and correct their errors.

This resource works great as:

  • a whole class activity or practice
  • part of small group math instruction or interventions
  • math center or station activities
  • homework

This is a great resource to add to your collection of measurement conversions activities!

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
