What educators are saying

This was an awesome end of year review. Loved that it kept my students engaged and was challenging. They really had to read and follow directions. Loved the accountability worksheets that went along with the product.
This was a great review activity to complete with the students before state testing. They enjoyed getting to practice skills in a different setting rather than just through boring worksheets.

⭐ This end of the year math escape room comes in the following digital and printable formats.

  • Webscape Format - This no-prep web-based format provides the most interactive and immersive experience possible. It is self-directed, self-correcting, and contains audio. You can check out my video overview here. You won't believe how engaging this format is until you try it!

  • Google Format - Students complete the exercises in Google Slides. The Decoder is a Google Sheet that self-corrects and tells each student when they can continue to the next challenge.

  • Printable Format - Students can use any device to scan QR codes to watch the videos. If no device is available, students can skip the videos and still enjoy the exercise. Students use a printable Recording Brochure and answer sheet to decipher the clues and track their answers.

This end-of-year themed Escape the School Math Escape Room is the ultimate no-prep digital/print & go printable activity that will keep your students on their toes. Say goodbye to boring worksheets and hello to an exciting end-of-year adventure.

⭐ Integrated videos, thematic items, and an end-of-the-school-year back story come together to engage students while developing and enforcing several standards-based mathematics skills.

The Webscape and Google Slides versions are self-grading; however, these versions are created to require critical thinking. Students are NOT told which answers are incorrect to prevent guessing and encourage students to think critically about the clues and their responses.

*Please note: The Google Slides format includes embedded videos that are hosted via YouTube. The printable version includes QR codes for these videos. If you plan on using Google or printable formats, please ensure you and your students have access to YouTube. The Webscape version does not require YouTube.

Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators, e.g., by creating common denominators or numerators, or by comparing to a benchmark fraction such as 1/2. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.
