What educators are saying

This was great review and challenging for my higher learners! It is also a great resource for small groups. I highly recommend this product!
These fraction task cards are perfect for my students to review and reteach what we learned about fractions. I use them in my math task card center.

Description

Fractions Task Cards: This set of 28 task cards is a great way to work on fraction skills! This set is based on 3rd grade skills, but the high-rigor problems are reflective of how students will be expected to apply those skills on standardized testing. Thus, these task cards are also a great review for 4th graders or older students who need a little extra work applying fraction concepts to a variety of problem types.

Skills covered:
•Fractions of a whole
•Fractions of a set
•Fractions on a number line
•Equivalent fractions
•Comparing fractions

These low-prep task cards are perfect for math centers, independent practice, partner work, or any other use!

Understand a fraction 1/𝘣 as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into 𝘣 equal parts; understand a fraction 𝘢/𝑏 as the quantity formed by 𝘢 parts of size 1/𝘣.
Understand a fraction as a number on the number line; represent fractions on a number line diagram.
Represent a fraction 1/𝘣 on a number line diagram by defining the interval from 0 to 1 as the whole and partitioning it into 𝘣 equal parts. Recognize that each part has size 1/𝘣 and that the endpoint of the part based at 0 locates the number 1/𝘣 on the number line.
Represent a fraction 𝘢/𝘣 on a number line diagram by marking off 𝘢 lengths 1/𝘣 from 0. Recognize that the resulting interval has size 𝘢/𝘣 and that its endpoint locates the number 𝘢/𝘣 on the number line.
Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size.
