Description

Ready Made Notes: 1 two-sided page

• Ready-made, homework support

• Originally designed for use with remedial students

• Meets the accommodation needs of special education and 504 students

Math teacher seem to have an innate ability to see mathematical relationships and patterns. This Is not the case for the majority of the population and certainly not for struggling learners. Slow learners and learning-disabled students often need to see, hear, and understand the concepts and related skills ten or more times before mastery occurs. Only then can they apply their learning to real-world, problem-solving situations.

Recommended uses include:

· Homework support: Parents having resources they can refer their children to and use themselves.

· Note taking modifications: Great for students with visual, auditory, memory, or processing speed deficits.

· In-class support: Notes can be printed tow-sided (two sets per page), laminates, hole punched, and put on book rings to create class sets.

· Special Education and 504 accommodations & modifications: These are great for confidence building. I allowed my struggling learners to use the nates in class, during DOLs, for minor quizzes and tests, and for homework. This was one way to ensure they had multiple learning opportunities prior to semester and end-of-year testing. As a result, my students consistently blew district and state averages for struggling learners out of the water.

note: My students never used these notes on end of year tests and only intellectually impaired (low IQ) students used them for semester tests.

Notes can be purchased individually for $1.50 each or in complete bulk sets of Geometry Quick Notes for a large savings. Sets for Pre-Algebra and Algebra are also available.

Purchase entitles the individual teacher or household to reproduce copies of black-line masters. Reproduction for an entire school, district, or multiple households is prohibited.

Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two-dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that category. For example, all rectangles have four right angles and squares are rectangles, so all squares have four right angles.
Classify two-dimensional figures in a hierarchy based on properties.
Find the area of right triangles, other triangles, special quadrilaterals, and polygons by composing into rectangles or decomposing into triangles and other shapes; apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
