Integrating Social-Emotional Skills into Writing

Every page integrates writing and social-emotional skills. Besides gratitude, others skills integrated into this journal include self-love, coping strategies, positive self-talk, friendships, and more!

Extra Supports

Many of the pages provide suggestions to provide an extra layer of support to those who may need help finding something to be grateful for. For example, when asking students to identify what qualities of a friend they are grateful for, options include: helpful, caring, funny, adventurous, and more. Students can use any of these options or come up with their own. This provides extra background knowledge and vocabulary support to students in need.
