Give your students a preview of "adulting" with this grocery shopping on a budget project. Includes option for 3-day meal plan/shopping project OR 5-day project.
Also includes grading rubrics.
What will students do?
Students are asked to brainstorm and create a menu for 3/5 days (covering all the food groups each day), create their shopping list while looking up prices on a grocery shopping website or app of teachers choice (Walmart, peadpod.com, Instacart, or use your local grocery store) all while staying within a $75 budget (The USDA reports the average “moderate” grocery budget for one is $75 a week) .
