The basic idea:
- In the 5 Halloween STEM Challenge Activities, students work in partners or groups against criteria & constraints lists to design and build Halloween-themed devices. (Each challenge can also be related to a non-Halloween theme if your school doesn't allow holiday activities; teacher notes are included).
- Modification suggestions are included to make these challenges engaging and productive for students in grades 2 - 8.
- In Halloween STEM Improv, students randomly select an object, material, and function and flex their creativity & critical thinking muscles to plan a design.
- The example shown in the preview is: Design a door knocker, made out of Frankenstein's neck bolts, that distributes candy.
