Description
FINALLY! An Interactive Notebook Reading Program designed just for SPED!
This is a 36-week reading interactive notebook program designed for special education classrooms for the ENTIRE year. A new story is provided each week with daily activities that correspond with each story throughout the week. Activities are included for every day of the week and are designed to be cut and pasted in a composition book.
Cutting is made simple, only including straight cuts that are easy enough for struggling cutters.
MONDAY- New reading passage is introduced. Students build fluency by reading the SAME passage for five days and will learn five new vocabulary words each week.
TUESDAY- Students answer “WH” questions about their story. They can either cut and paste from answers or they can write their answers under the flaps.
WEDNESDAY- Students get to make a flipbook that focuses on vocabulary/reading comprehension and targets setting, characters, main idea, and details.
THURSDAY- Students practice making and completing sentences about the story.
FRIDAY - The students take a quiz that can be used as a weekly reading grade. Both multiple choice and short answer included.
