Description
These are two excellent initial activities on Google to help your students start practicing and recognizing regular -ere and -ire (including verbs that work like capire) present tense verb endings. Both activities are interactive, self-checking and no-prep.
The Digital Task Cards include two versions one with activities that have linked answer keys for self-checking or a version without keys for the teacher to check.
The Eight activities include a total of 81 questions:
- Match the verbs to the picture that it represents. (10 questions)
- Choose the correct subject of each sentence. (9 questions)
- Drag the subject to the sentence. (10 questions)
- Two type in the correct conjugation of each verb including -ere and ire verbs and
one with verbs that work like capire. (24 questions)
- Match the English translation of a sentence to the Italian sentence. (10 questions)
- Drag the correct verb ending to each sentence. (12 questions)
- Write in your own sentences using the target verbs (6 questions)
There are three reference pages:
- One for the meaning of the verbs used in the activities
- One for regulare -ere and -ire endings
- One for verbs that work like capire
The Mystery picture activity
This activity is for students to practice the conjugation of the present tense of regular ERE and IRE verbs. There are a total of 24 sentences for which the students need to type in the correct conjugation of different verbs provided. When you assign your students each their own individual copy a picture will magically appear as they type in correct answers. If an answer does not fill in some boxes towards completing the picture they will know they have answered incorrectly and need to review their work.
