Description

Your students will read four passages related to Martin Luther King. For each passage, they will answer two multiple-choice questions related to the main idea.

The first question is "Which of the following sentences best states the main idea of the passage?"

The second question is "Which would be the best title for this passage?"

********This resource is available in THREE formats:

  1. Traditional Printables- Print the PDF and distribute the pencil-and-paper worksheet.
  2. Easel Activity- With this paperless format, an interactive layer has been added to the original PDF! Students can complete this activity on a device. Students read each paragraph and answer each multiple-choice question. Students move the circles to select their answers.
  3. Easel Assessment- Students complete this self-grading quiz on a device, as well. After reading a passage, students select the main idea or best title from a list of four possible answer choices. With this option, the teacher chooses whether or not his or her students receive immediate feedback.

You can either give your students the entire package of 4 worksheets, or you can give them pages one at a time.
