Morning Digital Calendar Routine | Distance Learning

Here is an interactive Morning Digital Calendar Routine available in PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Seesaw. These slides can be used for distance learning or in the classroom. I would suggest doing the routine together by sharing your screen, then assigning the slides in Google Classroom or Seesaw to complete independently.

What's included?

• Good morning slides with 11 different morning greetings: type in message
• How are you feeling today? Move the arrow and tell why.
• Question of the Day templates: either yes/no question or would you rather choice 1/choice 2 question. Move student names into boxes. 2 blank Question of the Day slides included.
• Calendar templates for July 2023-December 2024 (updated yearly), or blank template with movable rainbow numbers and circle and text boxes to type the date
• Months of the Year, Days of the Week, Seasons/Weather (2 versions with Fall or Autumn option), Weather Graph with movable pieces (2 versions)
• Days in School: hundreds/tens/ones with movable base ten blocks, Tally Marks with movable tallies, Ten Frames with movable dots (2 sizes), and Let's count to 100/200 chart with movable circle and counters
• Warm ups for the day (stretch, yoga, and cardio): choose a warm-up, roll the die (clickable), and do it!
• Number of the Day (0-10) and Number of the Day (11-20) with movable pieces
• Show me the money: use the coins and dollar bills to make the number of the day in the piggy bank with movable pieces
• Happy Birthday slide, Joke of the day, Quote of the day, and Reminders for the day: type and/or add images

Google Slides comes in a Teacher Version with all 62 slides and a Student Version with just the 37 independent slides. For movable pieces to work, you must be in Edit mode, not Present mode.

In Seesaw, there are 16 interactive slides for students to complete. You will need to edit the calendar based on the needs of your students and delete the one not being used. This could be assigned daily or students can save their work as a "draft" so they can edit it each day and add to the calendar instead of starting with a blank calendar each day. When redownloading a newer version, delete the old activity first before saving the new activity.

This resource includes a PDF file with links to the Google Slides files and the preloaded Seesaw activity. A file in PowerPoint is also included. You may change the order of the slides and/or delete slides not in use.
