NGSS Physical Science Bundle Activities Middle School

This NGSS bundle for Middle School science is a bundle of all of my physical science and chemistry labs, lessons, units, activities, and other resources (several bundles included) combined into one product at a DISCOUNT! In this bundle, students:

• are introduced to modeling and revising models with evidence
• observe a teacher demonstration of sublimation (dry ice)
• prevent the chemical reaction of a penny tarnishing by engineering a solution
• investigate with making waves in water (CER introduction to waves)
• learn about the properties of waves (amplitude, wavelength, and frequency) through an interactive PowerPoint and record notes on a Foldable/Interactive Notebook
• explore the properties of waves in labs
• match characteristics of electromagnetic waves on the spectrum
• model digital and analog waves
• observe molecular movement when adding thermal energy
• explore elements and symbols
• learn about, write, and draw model molecules and compounds
• build model molecules in a project
• design molecules out of fasteners (nuts, bolts, washers)
• rotate through 8 stations investigating physical and chemical changes
• gather information to provide evidence that synthetic materials come from natural resources in a STEM project
• extract iron from cereal and observe magnetism
• (ADDED SPRING 2019) are challenged and assessed on ALL MS-PS Performance Expectations through assessment tasks and questions which can be used on pre-assessments, tests, quizzes, or for check-ins
• (NEWLY ADDED summer 2019) Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning Bulletin Board Set
