Description
I made this simple NGSS Unit Template for planning my science units as we transition into the new standards. It can be EDITED for any grade level and clearly lays out the components for each unit or even lesson plan! This is a basic, unit plan template that is arranged into easy-to-read sections and includes a LINK to the NGSS website for EASY copying and pasting of standards and DCIs so you can submit your lesson plans with ease! Simply check off boxes for CCCs, SEPs, and Performance Tasks! It can also be adapted for using as a single lesson plan!
It includes sections for:
- Unit Name
- Unit Question
- Phenomena
- Performance Expectations - click on the link and copy & paste into document
- Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCIs) - use same link above
- Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs) - check off boxes that are applicable
- Cross Cutting Concepts (CCC) - check off boxes that are applicable
- Performance Tasks - check off boxes that are applicable or add your own
- Vocabulary Terms
- Lesson Plans
It's easy-to-edit and copy/paste your Performance Expectations, DCIs, lesson plans, assessments, tasks, and vocabulary. The Science/Engineering and Crosscutting Concepts sections include the topics in easy "check off" boxes to ensure you are using them within your unit or lesson plan.
