Description
Looking for an easy way to ensure you are asking questions that are aligned to your reading standards? This product will be perfect for you!
Each card lists the standard code and the wording for the standard. There are a variety of questions for each standard, including questions of lower complexity and those of higher complexity. There are 5-11 questions for each standard.
There is a LAFS (Florida) version and a Common Core version included.
This is also a b/w version and a colored version of each.
UPDATED MARCH 2018 Class anchor charts have been added for each standard. Each anchor chart lists the same question stems found on the smaller version. These charts can be used to display around the classroom to foster more meaningful conversation among students.
How to use:
There are multiple ways to use this produce. Here are a few suggestions:
1. Keep them at the front of the classroom to reference during whole group instruction. Use the cards to help guide your questions to ensure you’re hitting the depth of the standard.
2. Use them when creating formative and summative assessments. Many questions lend themselves to multiple choice, fill in the blank, or short response.
3. Have students use the cards to ask each other questions during centers. Students can read a text, then take turns challenging each other to questions. This will challenge your high students, also, because they will have to think critically to determine which questions are most applicable to the text they read.
