What educators are saying

These are beautiful!!!! I absolutely love them. They are very useful in class for my students to reflect daily.

Description

Use these posters to incorporate a positive end of the day reflection in your classroom! These questions build on critical social emotional learning skills such as growth mindset, gratitude, emotions, kindness, good character, problem-solving, and more.

Besides building social-emotional skills, an end of the day reflection time strengthens relationships and can create a positive climate in your classroom.

Some of the questions include:

  • What are you proud of yourself for today?
  • What inspired you today?
  • How did you show your best self today?
  • What strengths did you use today?
  • What did you accomplish today?
  • What did you learn today?
  • What are you grateful for?
  • How did you show kindness to yourself?
  • How were you a good friend to others?
  • And MANY more!

How to Use

  • At the end of the day, have students choose a question to answer to discuss as a group. Give time for students to share.
  • Give time for students to choose a question and reflect in a journal before allowing group share time.
  • Post questions on a bulletin board in your classroom or around the school.
  • Use the cards to create smaller sets of questions. Have students meet in groups, select a question and discuss.

Why Teach Social Emotional Learning Skills

Social emotional learning skills help kids and young adults learn how to manage their emotions, develop stronger relationships, understand their own strengths and weaknesses, develop empathy for others, and learn to make positive choices. These skills are foundational for social and emotional well-being. With a greater emphasis on SEL skills in educational settings, this journal allows you to weave these skills into your daily instruction as part of a morning meeting, morning circle, social group, or morning work activity.
