Why Teach Social Emotional Learning Skills

Social emotional learning skills help kids and young adults learn how to manage their emotions, develop stronger relationships, understand their own strengths and weaknesses, develop empathy for others, and learn to make positive choices. These skills are foundational for social and emotional well-being. With a greater emphasis on SEL skills in educational settings, this journal allows you to weave these skills into your daily instruction as part of a morning meeting, morning circle, social group, or morning work activity.

More Social Emotional Learning

{ Social Emotional Learning Digital Workbook A-Z }

Use this social emotional learning workbook to teach about SEL skills from A to Z! Every letter includes 1-3 mini-lessons on social emotional skills, such as empathy, healthy relationships, decision-making, and more. Each of the 40 mini-lessons includes two slides/pages: an explanation of the topic and meaningful practice using writing and digital moveable pieces for added fun. This means no-prep. All the work is done for you and your learners. Just assign and practice the skills!

{ Social Emotional Learning Journal }

Use this Social Emotional Learning Journal to teach SEL skills throughout the whole year! Skills targeted include self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships, and decision-making. Every day contains one prompt, so there are five prompts per week for a period of 35 weeks. This allows for 175 daily prompts for the entire year.

{ Social Emotional Learning Journal for Little Learners }

This journal is specifically tailored for younger learners with writing prompts, activities, and coloring. Three different versions are included to support growing writers: no lines, regular lines, and primary lines.
