What educators are saying

I used this with my test strategies class when I made them write their own test. It was a pretty nice resource for it.
I chose the type of questions to offer my third graders, but they loved creating quizzes for their classmates based on the social studies unit we were finishing!

Description

THE BEST way to review for a test! Get your students thinking about what they've learned this unit and what might show up on a test. By letting the students assume the role of teacher, they take ownership of their learning and they get to study without feeling like they're studying. When creating multiple-choice and true-false questions, students also get to think about the types of errors they may make during the test.

This product is an 8-page PDF, each containing a blank organizer for different type of test question. Each page is intended to be cut into two half-pages. The included test question types are:

  • multiple-choice
  • matching
  • true-false
  • fill-in-the-blank
  • diagram
  • short-answer
  • essay
  • other (for those questions that just don't fit into the other categories!)

If you have two days to review for a big test, here's my favorite way to use this resource:

  • Day 1: Cut the pages into half-sheets and have students work in groups to create a variety of questions using their notes, textbook, past assignments, or other resources.
  • Compile the best questions into a study guide.
  • Day 2: Students individually answer the questions on the study guide, and take it home for homework if it's not completed.
  • Day 3: Students take the test. They are SO prepared!
