Description
Systems of Equations (Graphing vs. Substitution) Partner Activity
Partner A will solve the first system of equation by graphing while Partner B solves the same system by substitution. If their answers match they move on, if not, they swap papers and help to identify and correct any errors. Each partner will do 10 total problems (5 by graphing, 5 by substitution). This really works well because it gets students talking about math and helping each other improve their skills.
This activity works very well in conjunction with my Algebra 1 Systems of Equations and Inequalities Unit.
