This SmartBoard lesson introduces students to the concepts of tens and ones and includes a lesson plan, interactive pages (drag and drop base ten blocks), website links to base ten activities, and 2 worksheets to check for understanding.

Students learn to identify 2 digit numbers by using tens and ones.

They will also learn to exchange 10 cubes for a long (base ten rod).
