POSTERS

The posters provide clear and concise examples of each text structure, making it easy for students to understand the key components of each one. Includes:

• Full-page posters - one for each text structure, use for whole group instruction or classroom display
• Half-page posters - same as above but smaller, use as visual support in centers, or reduce size when printing to keep in student folders

GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS

Similar to the posters but in black and white. These can be used to write on during whole group instruction or printed out for individual students use. They're designed to help students evaluate text or plan a written response.

TASK CARDS

Includes 6 cards that feature short, non-fiction passages about birds, each highlighting a different text structure. These can be paired with the graphic organizers so students can practice writing and responding to text.

• Full-page task cards - These are designed to be used for instructional purposes. Great for reading, discussing, and evaluating together in whole or small group.

• 1/4-page task cards - Perfect for independent practice in your literacy centers. Your students will read the passage, determine the text structure, and record their answer on the recording sheet.

DIGITAL ACTIVITIES

This product includes digital activities in Easel so you can assign it to students through your online learning platform of choice. The graphic organizers have already been prepared with answer boxes for students to type into. The task cards have also been prepared for digital use.
