Thanksgiving Traditions | Personal Narrative Writing Pack

November is the perfect time to learn about family traditions! Everyone celebrates in their own special way and this narrative writing set will help your students share how THEIR family celebrates Thanksgiving!

After students write about their Thanksgiving Tradition, we celebrate with a publishing party! You can have students read their writing in front of the class. Another option I like to do is a management strategy called "stand up, hands up, pair up" to share their writing with peers in the classroom. Everyone is put in pairs of two and they take turns reading their stories to each other. After both students have shared, they can stand up, put their hand up, and search for a new partner who is also available.
