What educators are saying

For some reason I find Napoleon a snore to teach. This saved me from having to make lessons about something I'm really not passionate about! Thanks
I cannot rave or thank this creator for all their resources enough. All material created by her is exceptional.

Description

This engaging lesson plan on Napoleon and the French Revolution has been totally revised and updated for a thorough set of activities in your World History classroom!

The download includes a PowerPoint on the end of the French Revolution and the rise of Napoleon. The presentation (a Google Slides version is also included) covers his rise to power, military victories, accomplishments within France such as the Napoleonic Code, as well as his downfall and final defeat at Waterloo.

An editable guided notes worksheet is also included along with an interactive notebook style graphic organizer option as well. Both options are perfectly aligned with the presentation.

You can also use the included "flipped classroom" video version as well! This is a fully-narrated overview of the lesson on Napoleon. It's perfect for "flipping" your class, showing in class, posting for absent students, or just watching yourself to prep for your lesson.

Following the presentation, a worksheet is included for students to analyze Napoleon's downfall. This has students thinking critically and drawing to engage their comprehension and can be completed with an online reading (a suggested link is included) any World History textbook, or your students' notes. An answer key for this is included for your convenience.

Finally, there is a "silent debate" activity in which students analyze Napoleon as either a hero or a tyrant. This ia a great conclusion that has students thinking critically about what they learned about Napoleon!

This product can also be downloaded as part of the French Revolution Complete Unit Bundle!
