Looking for a simple way to teach the advantages and disadvantages of the different forms of business ownership to your business and marketing students?
This resource includes materials to help you teach characteristics and advantages/disadvantages of the main forms of business ownership including sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporations, and franchises. Additional information about limited liability corporations, s corporations, and limited liability partnerships is researched by students and discussed during the PowerPoint presentation.
I start the lesson by having students list different factors that are important to consider when starting a business on the first blank on their note taking guide. We then discuss the different factors they came up and begin the PowerPoint presentation. The students can see how those factors come into play in the advantages/disadvantages of each form of business during the lesson.
