Valentine SONG PACKET: "La Vie En Rose" Edit Piaf. French Love Song.

Here is a SONG PACKET for what is probably the most CLASSIC French love song of all time. It is so timeless that it was used in the recent film Wally as background music. Kids who don't know this song...just won't know. And we don't want them to be culturally clueless.
But this packet introduces a twist. Along with introducing the famous Edith Piaf version it also introduces a catchy modernized version of the song (this new version is one of my favorites).

Music is one of the best ways to get your kids into French music, but also culture, and language. Songs are a great way for kids to learn unusual/out-of-the-Book vocabulary. This packet not only introduces the lyrics but also pulls out key Grammar concepts from the song that they can practice. In this case Present Tense regular -ER verbs and the verb Etre.

This is one of my students' FAVORITE songs now and the 'surprise band' is one of their new favorites (though this is their only French song).
