There is a good mix of female authors, scientists, politicians, civil rights activists, humanitarians, entertainers, etc. for Women's History Month. I usually partner up the students and have them do the research as a team using books from the library or online encyclopedias.
For the final project,I have students create a poster with all the facts to present to the class about their famous people.
