What educators are saying

My students loved the pixel art. I love the self checking activities so that students can get feedback as they work.
My 8th grade students love doing pixel art activities in class! I allow them to work in partners and they always treat it as a race to see who can figure out what the picture is first. I would definitely recommend this activity!

Description

Writing equations in slope intercept form from two points can be tricky! In this digital self-checking pixel art activity, Algebra 1 students will be answering 16 questions where they will be given two points on the line and write linear equations in slope intercept form to reveal a mystery image.

If they answer correctly, a portion of the mystery picture will appear. If they get it wrong, the boxes will not be colored in. Students will love guessing what the picture will be.

Here is what's included:

➡️ 16 self-checking problems

➡️ Answer key

➡️ 2 different sheets - a self-checking and an assessment

Your students will love this mystery picture pixel art activity! This is an engaging activity for your students that requires no prep from you. All you have to do is assign it to your students in your LMS! Students will love guessing what the picture will be.

This pixel art activity will work for both Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel!

MICROSOFT NOTE: Once downloaded to excel, the problem pictures may be distorted based on the device and screen size. After you purchase and download this activity, you can adjust the size of the problem pictures to fit in the boxes before giving it to students.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ "My students enjoyed this resource. It was an excellent way for them to practice writing the linear equation from 2 points. I love that it is self-checking as well. An excellent resource for additional practice! Would also be great for sub-plans as it is no prep and easily shared on google classroom." - Melanie P.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ "I used this after teaching them the lesson as a means to further solidify the concepts. They were also able to work on a bunch of these virtual exercises at the end of the unit just before testing and also for students who needed further enrichment or just moved quicker through the homework." - Stephanie B.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ "This was used as a self-checking activity for my students as they reviewed graphing using y=mx+b. They were hooked and begged me for more pixel arts!!!" - Amanda C.
