We've moved countless times, so I've always had to hit the ground running. When I was in Germany, my students had already lived in the countries we were studying in Social Studies. Meanwhile, I hadn't even had the chance to travel through most of them. In Belgium, my students came from different NATO nations, and many of them were multilingual. In North Carolina, my students lived in the housing projects, and in Illinois, my students were adults seeking their GED. When I was in New Mexico, I fell in love with the Navajo culture through my Native American students and their families. Here in Texas, I have mostly worked with gifted and talented students from higher socioeconomic backgrounds. Being part of a transient military family, I've always felt like I was one step behind, but each new challenge forced me to adapt quickly. Most of the time, I ended up taking the job that nobody else wanted. Looking back, I realize that each uncomfortable adaptation taught me something valuable, and I am truly grateful for the lessons I've learned on my journey. Now, with over twenty-five years of teaching experience, I reflect on those years with gratitude for every single student, especially the ones who posed challenges. Each and every one of them will forever hold a special place in my heart, and they have all played a significant role in shaping who I am today. One thing that remained constant across all the schools I've taught at is that teachers were always pressed for time. This is why I firmly believe that having time-saving products can make a huge difference, regardless of who you are or where you teach. My sincere hope is to assist you in saving precious time through enjoyable and efficient products.
My areas of expertise are technology integration, brain based instruction, and differentiated instruction. Like so many teachers, my lessons integrate several disciplines simultaneously. Yes, this directly connects to saving time.
