Hands-on practice for identifying the properties of addition and multiplication (commutative, associative, identity). Students cut out the six properties and the different expressions. They then group the expressions with the appropriate property. They could glue them on another piece of paper, or use them as a game for practice. I use this with the envisionMath Indiana series by Scott Foresman-Addison Wesley, grade 6 topic 2-2.
