For my top two reading groups I had them work on choosing a chapter book, putting together a book project, based off of book project ideas I found on TPT in the free selections, and then had them present to the class. The students kept a book log of when they read as well as a 2-4 sentence summary of what they read. On the due date, the students presented their projects to one another and were graded based on the attached rubric.
