Description

30+ PAGES OF QUESTIONS and ANSWERS! This resource provides chapter context questions w/ answer key - a great companion to the novelette by Annette Oppenlander, 47 Days. 47 Days is the perfect adaptation for middle and lower high school students to access this influential and dynamic period of world history and political strife. My students love reading about the completely true story of Günter and Helmut and their journey and fight for survival in the closing days of World War II.

Included in this resource:

- Anticipation Guide

- 50 Chapter Questions & Critical Thinking Discussion Questions

- Teacher Answer Key

- Vocabulary List & Definitions

47 Days is written as a novelette excerpt from a longer work, Surviving the Fatherland. As an opening chapter to a longer story, 47 Days tells the real life harrowing survival story of life-long friends Günter and Helmut, who battle the elements, animal attacks, bombings, and run-ins with the German army to stay alive and return home. Based on the author’s own family history and anchored in historical accounts, this is a story which highlights and celebrates the fortitude and resilience of the human spirit and the strength of children who overcome war-time obstacles.
