What educators are saying

This resource was the perfect way to organize our IB notes and activities! It really helped reinforce our IB attributes!
This is a great resource for students to reflect on the Learner Profiles. The vocabulary with the words and pictures is great for my ELL students.

Description

This IB PYP Learner Profile NO PREP writing packet will have your students writing in a fun and engaging way as they become familiar with the qualities of each Learner Profile attribute. They will be able to show their understanding of what it LOOKS-SOUNDS-FEELS like to put that attribute into action. Ideal for Kindergarten & Grade 1.

Great to use with:

•Focus attribute within your units of inquiry

•Reflection activity

•In connection with picture books demonstrating Learner Profile

•Evidence of understanding & learning

•Self assessment of writing skills

•Encouraging student agency

Each sheet provides space for the children to illustrate their own example and then to write a sentence about their picture. An image related to key words is included to help students generate ideas when writing about their Learner Profile. The rubric included on each sheet encourages self-assessment.

An extra lined writing page has also been included at the end of the packet for differentiation, should they wish to write more. Just print this page on the back of any sheet to provide more writing space.

The printables are great for writing and literacy centers, independent work and also portfolios.

The "Read, Draw, Write" style worksheet encourages students to read the words in the word bank, use them to create sentences to describe their drawings and to self-assess using the rubric too.
