    • Unit 1 (Personal Hero Essay Project): This 1-2 week personal hero essay project is an ideal opportunity to allow your students to learn about and share a personal hero while practicing their formal essay writing skills. These scaffolded activities will guide your students through researching, interviewing, outlining, writing, and presenting about a meaningful person in their life.
    • Unit 2 (Realistic Fiction Workshop): This exciting creative writing project guides students through the development and writing of their own realistic fiction story, from the analysis of a short realistic fiction story to the guided creation of their own original piece of writing
    • Unit 3 (Mystery Writing Workshop): This creative writing project guides students through the development and writing of their own mystery story, from the analysis of a short mystery to the guided creation of their own original piece of writing
    • Unit 4 (Create Your Own Children's Book): This project provides your students with everything they need to design their own children’s narrative storybook! This 2-week unit starts with an introductory presentation, continues with straightforward and fun planning activities, and culminates with the creation of a children's book!
