Ecology Unit Planning Document

This product is designed to facilitate backwards design of an ecology unit typical of a Biology class. This unit begins with a cover slide for the unit title, date range, and allotted days. The second slide is dedicated to state standards. This slide is currently populated with Biology TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) separated into supporting and readiness standards, but can be edited to match any state or national standards. The third slide is a graphic organizer with room for teachers to add their own formative and summative assessments and align them to state standards. The final two pages are lesson blocking calendars with options for daily 50-60 minute classes and blocked 90-100 minute classes. These calendars are filled in with suggested pacing and additional science skills but can be edited based on the needs of the teacher.
