What educators are saying

My students loved finding their seats and figuring out why they were seated with certain people based on the cards that they drew randomly. A fun way to change up the seating arrangement!
This is such a fun and engaging way to group students. I have even used this for a random seating chart arrangement. Thanks.

Description

Seating charts have never been easier. Place periodic table elements on desks and give mixed-up atomic numbers 1-40 to students as they enter and you’re done!

4 Versions available!

  1. Elements 1-40 with names
  2. Elements 1-40 without names
  3. Elements 1-40 color-coded by periodic categories (alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, transition metals, metalloids, halogens, noble gases, other metals, and other nonmetals)
  4. Elements 1-40 split into one category per page so that you could print each on their own colored piece of paper.

Utilize the atomic numbers of elements #1-40 to sort in many other ways too:

  • Grouping by periodic table categories
  • Cold calling students
  • Any sorting/grouping of students needed - make an ionic bond, make a covalent bond, group by similar valence electron count
  • Station labels
  • Lab and Cabinet labels

Each element card is 1 1/2" x 1 7/8" (1.5" x 1.875") and fit well under packing tape, so that you can secure them down and use these all year long. Number cards are the same size and fit well in a paper clamp/clip.

✦ This is also included in and get time back and assurance with all the activities found in this Chemistry I Activity Mega Bundle
