What educators are saying

This was an excellent way to not only get a better understanding of the lyrics and why LinManuel Miranda chose them, but also served as a platform to practice figurative language and other literary devices that my students have been practicing.
I also teach poetry with Hamilton: The Musical and just wanted to see what others have pieced together.

Description

Engage students in poetry by using the extremely popular musical Hamilton!

Practice identifying poetry devices using the lyrics of the Hamilton song "Right Hand Man." Students need to be familiar with the following poetry devices: tone, repetition, end rhyme, internal rhyme, consonance, assonance, alliteration, and onomatopoeia.
