I am in my 10th year of teaching, ranging from grades 8th-12th. I have been teaching American Literature and British Literature since 2011. I am currently teaching at a rural school district, but have multiple experiences in inner-city and larger districts- my students are always the best, even in their tough years! It is a blessing to be surrounded by young adults, and am thankful for them every day (well, most days. Let's be honest here...).
I love creative lessons and open discussions. My students do a lot of hand-on activities and are great at debates!
National Honors Society of Scholars. Awarded the "Awesome Mom" *high five* by Leah Jane- Age 2- on January 29th, 2015. I also make a mean mac and cheese.
BA in English from The Ohio State University, teaching license at Ashland University. Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University in 2017.
I am a mom to four beautiful girls, a wife to an amazing (and patient) man, and a parent to approx. 120 teenagers on a daily basis. In a sense, I am more than words.
